Sea Fiji Travel - Your Fiji Experts

As you approach Qamea the beauty of the dense green rainforest and striking contrast of the white sand beach is startling. The bures are visible from the water, but nestled back among palm trees in a way that makes you feel that's where they (and you) belong. The setting is 100 verdant acres of gardens and bush extending inland from a kilometer long beach - widely accepted as one of the North's finest. From the resort the views are dramatic, with lush gardens and beautiful beach giving way to a west-facing vista that showcases Taveuni Island and some most impressive sunsets.

Every one of the 15 bures and villas have a spacious footprint of over 650 square feet and reflect traditional Fijian architecture throughout. They were designed and sited with both privacy and panoramic views in mind, and neither is compromised. From the hand-polished native mahogany hardwood flooring to the towering 20 foot high thatched roofs, each bure features detailed craftsmanship and discerning decor. Design features include covered decks, outdoor river stone courtyard showers, large bathrooms with heated towel racks and European fittings, and air conditioning. The amenities are top-drawer as well: a fully stocked mini-bar, tea and French press coffee facilities and Pure Fiji brand toiletries. Antique Fijian art from local villages and nearby islands adorn the interiors. When it is time for bed, a plush king-size bed with high thread count Egyptian cotton bedding beckons.

The Honeymoon Bures are both quite spacious, and command the best views from the resort. The bathrooms alone are over 300 square feet, and are designed so that the walls can be retracted to reveal an exclusive outdoor courtyard complete with a private natural stone Jacuzzi pool with waterfall. No details are overlooked. There is even a covered gazebo area off of the beach side deck sporting a day bed and privacy curtains.

The Royal Beach Houses are situated at the far end of the beach, affording absolute privacy from the rest of the resort. With over 1,600 square feet of luxury, they have been designed and built in a traditional Fijian style. A contrasting mix of native mahogany hardwood floors and sandstone tiles. The villas feature a spacious bedroom and a living area, with high-quality furniture, the finest in linens, and an array of Fijian art commissioned specifically by Qamea Resort & Spa. All of the Royal Beach Houses are air-conditioned and equipped with a 42" plasma screen TV connected to international satellite, DVD (multi-zone) player, and stereo with an iPod docking station and telephone. Large covered and uncovered decks extend to the ocean's edge. The Royal Beach Houses have their own private plunge pool on an expanded sundeck that goes to the edge of the beach. The outdoor living area features a heated Jacuzzi spa, an outdoor rock wall shower, and comfortable sunbeds. The bathroom contains Italian fixtures, including double sinks and an indoor shower. The owners' private villa (available to guests) is a two bedroom/ two bath Royal Beach House with all the same amenities.
